Lessors’ Max orders at risk with Avolon cancellation
Avolon is removing 75 Boeing 737 Max jets from its orderbook, and while the world’s fourth largest lessor by fleet value says it “remains committed” to the type, these add to cancellations from before the coronavirus pandemic. (www.flightglobal.com) 更多...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
ten years from now, maybe sooner, we will look back to this . We will miss the 757, 767, A330- fine airplanes for many years, and then get on a 737max or A320neo, Boeing 787 or Airbus 350, and , if we have the memories, miss just for a bit the interesting aircraft of the past. The lessors make their bets so they can fill in the gaps for airlines, but all leasing companies will load up on max'es and various airbusses, cause those are the future, and orders will pile up for each type, no matter what short term cancellations pop up now.
At this point, Boeing's foot-dragging on the B797 seems like a genius move. There likely isn't going to be a huge demand for a MOM now.
Appreciate your constant newsworthy issues but this is a duplicate squawk. https://flightaware.com/squawks/view/1/1_year/new/77787/Avolon_fires_warning_shot_as_it_cancels_75_MAX
He wouldn't be doing his job if he didn't post at least one squawk that's critical of Boeing per day (even if that means duplicating something he already posted).
