FlightAware is a digital aviation company and operates the world’s largest flight tracking and data platform. With global connectivity to every segment of aviation, FlightAware provides over 10,000 aircraft operators and service providers and over 13 million passengers with global flight tracking solutions, predictive technology, analytics, and decision-making tools. All of this is backed by the most comprehensive flight-tracking data and intelligence in the industry. We process over 50 million incoming messages an hour from over 30,000 individual data feeds—over 175 gigabytes a day and growing—to provide the best, most complete, and most accurate real-time flight-tracking service in the industry.
We accomplish this with creativity, innovation, dedication, diligence, kindness, and integrity. FlightAware is over fifteen years old, is self-financed, with millions a year in revenue, but still ambitious and with the hunger of a startup.
FlightAware’s culture is centered around serving our customers and users to the highest possible standard, with minimum bureaucracy, while having a good time.
FlightAware supports flex hours for most positions, remote work for many positions, and a business-casual office environment. You can order lunch using FlightAware’s “LunchAware” system, which supports restaurant voting and cashless transactions. Fresh fruit and a variety of snacks are available for free.
Many of FlightAware’s 120 employees hold an FAA pilots certificate and 100% of FlightAware employees have a passion for aviation and the service we provide. We offer flight education benefits to offset expenses for those excited to fly or learn to fly. Check out our blog post introducing some of our pilots!
To attract the very best, FlightAware offers competitive compensation, a fun work environment, and all the benefits that you would expect from the world’s premier digital aviation company.
FlightAware offers completely free medical and dental coverage to full-time employees. Employees can purchase additional coverage for spouse and children at the nominal cost. We have other benefits offerings such as vision, life/AD&D, short-term disability, and an EAP. New hires have fourteen days of paid time off, and traditional paid holidays throughout the year. Compensation is competitive.
All employees can enroll in FlightAware’s matching 401(k) retirement plan and are eligible for performance-based bonuses.
