With all the uproar about jobs, why didn't they at least choose an American company? Remember the catch phrase: "Buy American!"

Here's the fun part. On my phone, if I put it in airplane mode, it turns OFF my WiFi.

How much are they going to charge for this? We all know, there's no way they're giving this away.

There will, of course, be a $35 "Wi-Fi" fee added to your ticket. It will not be refundable or removable, even if you do not intend to use the service mentioned.

They will integrate it into the plane in such a manner that the plane will not function without it being on, thus the requirement you pay the fee even though you may not partake in using it during your journey.

Kind of how Windows integrates IE into the OS to where you can't remove it, though a good portion of users don't touch that browser whatsoever.

For explanation to those who don't know the difference between your WIFI and Cell phones.
WIFI is using a short range raido wave to acuess near by (usually in 10 Meters, rear 20)
But Cell phones' can reach at least 100meters some can reach even miles. Also the radiowaves from Cell phone will interferance data transfur in wires(in this case voice to pilot and ATC). If you don't believe it try this: wear a pair of earphone and plug it in some thing that make sound, than put you phone near you earphone wire. Listen into the earphone while send a text. Usually you will hear some thing like "BEE BEE BEE....BEEEEEEEEEE..." but if you plug the ear phone in to a wireless PC there will not be anything anoying while enjoy your music
