Pilot Seriously Hurt as Warbird Crashes at CYND
2019 07 03 A pilot was seriously injured Wednesday morning when his vintage aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing at Gatineau Executive Airport at about midday. First responders and Vintage Wings of Canada, the historical society that has a number of former warplanes at the airport, were releasing few details on the event. Sad to see! An airplane that was originally eschewed by USAAF brass cause they couldn't fly em, the Navy said, we'll take em, cause that huge engine you couldn't see around with the tailwheel down made them perfect for short fields (boats), and the rest is history!
