China Airlines A333 over Pacific on Dec 12th 2016, engine problems

A China Airlines Airbus A330-300, registration B-18311 performing flight CI-17 (dep Dec 11th) from Honolulu,HI (USA) to Tokyo Narita (Japan), was enroute at FL390 over the Pacific Ocean about 400nm northeast of Wake Island (unorganized, USA) when the crew reported problems with one of the engines (CF6) and decided to divert to Wake Island. Good job there Roy, I kinda thought there might be a failure or two listed at the Herald site that didn't involve something built in either Everett or Charleston.

Amazing an Airbust had a problem, too bad they are not reported as often as Boeing ones are on here. They happen just as often but our EU reporters seem to miss those.

What I've figured is that most of the reported Boeing aircraft are older models (733,734, older 757s, 767s, etc.), just trying to take the bias out of the situation, also to help people realise that all aircraft are man-made, giving a possibility that any can fail any time, whether it was built in France, Germany, China, Holland, Brazil, Russia, Canada or the US. Also as previously observed, user MH370 seems to hate Boeing, I couldn't care less who built the thing. I love aircraft in general, regardless of manufacturer.
