Qantas Pilot Suspended Just Before Flight for Exceeding Alcohol Limit
Qantas Airways has suspended one of their pilots last Monday for violating the country’s alcohol limit for safe flying. The female pilot reportedly exceeded the blood alcohol limit for flying of 0.02 percent. The legal limit for driving in Australia is 0.05 percent. Her actual blood alcohol was not released. The Australian Associated Press reported that the pilot was detected to be under the influence as she was about to fly a Qantas Boeing 767-300 from Sydney to Brisbane. Female or male it is difficult to understand how anyone would jeopardize their job and the lives of so many for a drink or drinks of alcohol. The blood alcohol limit for pilots is .02 but it should be .00. Or better yet, the passengers should be told the alcohol level of the flight crew and then be allowed to decide if they want to continue the flight with a pilot or pilots at that alcohol blood level.
Anybody can learn to fly a plane sober. Bet it wasn't her first rodeo.

That's a long way to get into a career like that just to throw it out the window for a drink.
Hang her from the fingernails, OK, just joking, but seriously speaking did Qantas fire her, that is the least punishment she deserved.
