Video: Cargo Jets Nice Landing!

Wow, such high quality.

I think the pilot, on my last commercial flight, must have washed out of the FedEx or UPS program.

I work air cargo, and have watched hundreds - thousands! of landings. My overall impression is that "cargo dogs" routinely land softer than PAX drivers. Why? I dunno - maybe the larger number of cycles they do makes the passenger guys more complacent?

Now our fellow captains will not like the following but re comment on commercial flights hard landings: This happened years ago on a flight on old Air Wisconsin. After two very hard hits on the runway the plane rolled to the gate. Capt. at the door saying..'' Thanks for flying Air Wisconsin''. A friend of mine, also tech rep in our company, heard the passenger ahead of him say to the Capt.....'' so how did you do on your written test?''

I wonder what was going on with those rental trucks and all that gear? Couldn't tell if it was audio (like for a pt150) or video, or both.

Somebody get that UPS Capt in a passenger jet. Sweet landing. And nice flare on the FedEx.

I live about 2 miles from MHT - this video was taken at the NH Aviation Historical Museum. They have an awesome plane spotting parking lot this is so close to the runway, you'd think you could reach out and touch the planes. Amazing spot to have in this post 9/11 era.
