Drives me nuts, I read the SFGate and CNN articles and neither one tells you what type of plane. SFgate does mention a passenger was watching Harry Potter! Looks like a Boeing 757-200 is regularly scheduled for this route.
Flight Aware shows normal service to be using a 752.
That's alright CNN (and most outlets) would have gotten it wrong anyway. Better to stick with what they are sure of and say it was a plan.
