Just wish they could fly the -600's forever. They just take me back to the DC-8-61/63 era, when these planes looked so long and sleek, then so happy to see them live on in the 71/73 guise. Nothing else like them around nowadays.

That's because there's no Government support for RR whereas GE collect vast amounts on unaudited US military contracts and use the money to fund commercial propulsion plants
