If management gets the hell out of the way and let's the engineers be engineers, there's a good chance.

The existing plane killed a lot of people. Only when the airlines and public are sure that they won't become casualties will the sales of the planes moved forward. Boeing better have the best marketing team available when the FAA approves the plane if they want to salvage this mess.

It would be an absolutes catastrophe for Boeing if this aircraft never recovers from its growing list of problems. It would be an utter body slam to the Boeing brand. This manufacturer has a grand list of success let's not throw the baby out with the bath water. Mullenburg and the board should all be fired for their bungling dishonest antics with CANADA and EUROPE for their sleazy trade practices. They should also discount the price of the 737s 3still due to various airlines.

All those things are up to the stockholders and how to maintain their investment in the company. While leadership is definitely a problem, there is also the unfortunate component of engineers that lacked the technical integrity to not cut corners. Quite the pervasive problem this is for the company.
