Yes - Karter Hickling - it is indeed an Embraer Model 175 - one of a family of Embraer jet airliners - principally used by commuter airlines on shorter commuter routes. But the trend now is for commuter airlines to use them on longer routes - previously flown by major airlines. Consequently, Embraer Models 145, 175, & 190 are now being used by major airlines, such as Air Canada, American, and Jetblue, to serve such longer routes.
