Finally something that might make sense coming out of Boeing. Let’s face it, they have completely and thoroughly blown it regarding the US domestic market by designing out of the 737 the performance that made it the phenom that it was. This news, although strictly rumor and conjecture, could be a superb move on Boeing’s part. It is probably fantasy but how great would it be if they reopened manufacturing lines for stead fast performers like the 767 and the best airliner ever the 757 with new, updated technologies built into those great airframes!! Or perhaps even design a new domestic narrow body from a fresh start. Then give US Airlines a good price point to buy at, stop catering to the state run carriers and turn their attention to our home market. After all when was the last time Boeing designed, from the ground up, an airplane for US domestic use? Boeing says the C-Series is a serious threat to them but I submit Boeing did it to themselves, by not listening to what their fir

Thanks for the pilot bash Dana. I do happen to agree with you regarding the Security issue and FAR's. These incidents DO make our flights less secure. My thought as a Captain for a major carrier that this crew could have handled this differently -as in any situation- there is always more than one path to choose (some better than others). BTW it is your "button pushing" pilots that get you there safely AS WELL AS your Flight Attendants in case you haven't figured it out yet - we work as a team to make it a safe flight.

Delta is a Class Act. I am sure other airlines do this as well but DAL has it down pat. Just wish we didn't have to lose our good people like this. Would have been great to have a smaller flag for the K9 too. Semper Fi.

Look folks lets get something straight here, THIS IS NOT A DELTA AIRLINES JET, THESE WERE NOT DELTA AIRLINES PILOTS!!!!!!!. This was a Rat Jet (RJ) operated by and flown by subcontractors!!! NOT DAL people! I understand that the NY Daily News needs to get their shit strait too. DAL may have had a few slide offs this year, contrast that with the incredible number of flights Delta flys every single day. How does your company stack up? Additionally DAL cancelled only about 2% of flights during the cold snap of the century last week…How did your favorite airline stack up? DAL seems to have made the transition to FAR 117 fairly smoothly too…How did yours do? Before we all go pointing fingers at each other maybe we need to make sure our own reflections are distorted as well.

Enough of this crap!! First and foremost is this video ROCKED!!! God people lighten up, the video is funny and I'd be willing to bet that after Old Mrs. Snottypants, the airport administrator, does her investigation we'll find out that there were more than just two knuckleheads with a creative streak in on this. And they will probably lose their jobs over it to unfortunately. Also, for any one who really thinks that the crap we go through at security makes one bit of difference you need to wake up. As a 15 year airline professional I can tell you there are more holes in the "airport security" process that you can shake a stick at, and the only way we will fix them is to turn our society in to some kind of Orwellian nightmare (Old Mrs. Snottypants et al is giving it a good try). So until that finally happens, relax people and laugh along with these two guys and get on with your life!
