Perfect the system on cargo A/C for a number of years...Once confidence is secured by the flying public, there may be a chance someone's getting on board...hopefully a few of my ex's).
There is so much liability and uncertainty in this industry. It seems in order to persevere you need be dedicated to 'flight.' Great respect for Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun. His is a job I would not want.
346 deaths attributed to the 737 Max. Lessons need to be learned so these lost lives have purpose. I lost a family member to a commercial airlines crash killing 137. Much was learned from it but I don't wish this on any family.
The greatest generation...surviving the depression only to be rewarded with fighting(and winning)WWII. Came home to sacrifice and build an America for their families that is unparalleled...every day I respect them more.
Question. What is the 'economics' of the A380 that never worked? High purchase price?...low revenue per seat?...cost of operation?...not enough passengers/flight to break even? Unpopularity with customers? Thanks.
Prefer to talk about aircraft, but this might offer some perspective...Joseph Conrad's 'Heart of Darkness (1899)' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heart_of_Darkness
Both beloved Americans...Will Rogers sitting next to Lindbergh, chatting...In August 1935 Rogers would tragically die with fellow Oklahoman Wiley Post on a fishing trip to Alaska...in Post's Lockheed Vega.
