He's *really* lucky the hook didn't catch...
No kidding...it could've gotten pretty nasty.
Is that a British Harrier carrier?
If that hook had caught I do not think he could have ejected in time. He would have been on the deck before the he had time to react. That is not smart flying that is plain old fashion luck.
I believe it would be a Russian carrier.
