Canadair CL-41 Tutor (C-GOGW)
Crystal Lake, Ontario taken from our boat we had an awesome view as two SuperScoopers fought a nearby forest fire we could not see.

Excellent photo . However the aircraft is a Canadair CL-415 .

Great photo. I don't think we real understand what it takes for those planes to refill on the "fly". Doesn't happen here in Colorado often.
I agree Alan, the water drag would be phenomenal.
What a great appreciation for aircraft technology
The planes are huge, they have massive horsepower and the draft when they "scoop" is very thin. And yes, it is really amazing and fascinating to watch them work. We contract two of them here in Southern California for Devil Wind season. Call signs Quebec 1 and 2, they are a lethal firefighting resource...
