N12296 — - One of the few remaing Wildcats recovered and restored to flying condition.Ditched in Lake Michigan on 1-Dec-43, recoverded in 1-Dec-91. Restored to flying condition as N12296.Loaned to the Pacific Avaition Museum, and place in a diorama representing the "Catus Air Force" during the Gaudalcanal Campaigne.
