Lockheed C-130 Hercules (N0167)
A picture of a visiting C-130 taken at Bermuda on December 19, 2013. The U.S. military regularly sends C-130s and C-17 Globemasters to Bermuda, but for what I do not know. Sorry for the bad quality, but I had to re-save and download this photo a couple of times as I had to transfer the photo from two computers.

You did a very good job with the photo. I really do not know what an AC-130 Spectre Gunship would be doing in Bermuda. The large gun sticking out behind the main gear well is a 105mm Howwitzer. The gun sticking out just in front of the main gear well is a 20mm Gatling Gun. It is an incredible weapon system primarily for night time hunting of an enemy and for providing air support for troops on the ground. As a Tactical Air Controller in Vietnam, when on night shifts, I worked with these aircraft.
Thanks Harry! I know less than you do on the C-130 aircraft, so I have no idea what is was doing in Bermuda. Just very fun to watch it land.
Perhaps chasing and shooting fast boats carrying cocaine to the Mainland. If so, way to go, guys and thanks.
After some more research and asking some others, I have found out that Bermuda is used as a re-fueling stop for U.S. military C-130s and C-17 Globemasters. Really cool in my opinion.
Refueling stop makes sense for flights heading across the Atlantic to parts in Europe or the Middle East.
After the refueling in the Bahamas, the next refuel stop is likely the Azores and then on into the Portugal or Spain or some other destination.
I remember that another C-130 that flew in was headed to Turkey.
Amazing shot!
