Looks like a British WWII Avro Lancaster heavy bomber.

Great photo! Thanks.
Awesome shot! It's a shame there are only 2 airworthy examples in the world.

That looks like the Mynarski Lanc from the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum at YHM. It actually never saw action, being built near or after the end of the War. It was a maritime reconnaissance aircraft for a while and it was completely restored and now flies around Hamilton and Toronto regularly during the summer. It's an awesome site - and those 4 Merlins sound amazing! Named after Andrew Mynarski, a mid-upper gunner in the 419 "Moose" squadron, in a Canadian-built Lanc. He died on JUne 12, 1944 at the age of 27. After completing a bombing run over France they caught fire after a JU88 attack and he crawled through the burning aircraft to save the tailgunner. All crew members survived except Mynarski. He received the Victoria Cross, posthumously. This Lanc is painted exactly as the one gunner Mynarski died in. This all makes me very proud to be a Canadian. And it's a GREAT photo, as well!
