Northrop T-38 Talon (64-0297) - One of my earliest posts to the FA photo gallery was a capture of two Northrop T-38 Talons making a side-by-side short final approach to RNO. Now, many years later, I find one of those same Black Talons, 64-0297, visiting Reno again. These two Beale AFB-based Talons are snapped here not long ago glistening in the morning sun on the Atlantic Aviation ramp.

One of my earliest posts to the FA photo gallery was a capture of two Northrop T-38 Talons making a side-by-side short final approach to RNO. Now, many years later, I find one of those same Black Talons, 64-0297, visiting Reno again. All of Beale's Recon Squadron aircraft are painted black and red.

You are right, Gary... and I managed to "capture" one of Beale AFB's black and red marked T-38 Talons at an airshow some years ago, 66-4332... :-)

Hi, Cliff. When I see the first two numbers in the regs of the ones I snapped here ("64") and the one you clicked ("66"), it makes me wonder how many air miles these old birds have amassed. The government got its $$$s worth out of these, eh? (wave)
