To be able to capture a Boeing tri-holer is always a treat for me. Takes me back in time to the years when jetliners were making their first appearances in the skies and at the airports of the world. I've had the thrill of being a passenger on 727s operated by several airlines (even Air America) and Boeing's T-tailed triple will always be a fave of mine.

Nice capture, Gary - albeit a rather "bland" aircraft against the snowy backdrop. These are indeed rare birds nowadays, but my feeder caught one recently, a Private iteration of the B722 decked out as an "Executive Boeing Super 27 VIP". Just a damn pity she didn't drop into our local strip - I would have been there in a heartbeat!

Hey, Greg, Howdy & Thanks, ole buddy. (Grin)
Viv, TY to you also. I'd have greatly enjoyed seeing a snap of that B722 if it had visited your turf. There just aren't that many nowadays, so catching one is rather rare. As for the JUS Twenty-Two in my click above, it is indeed rather "bland" against the snow but I'm thinking that it would not be much more striking even if it was here during our summer months -- bright sun on white tends to blend everything into our desert landscape. I did get to wondering why it doesn't have a USA Jet paint scheme on it. Turns out that JUS only acquired it about seven or eight months ago. It has made the rounds of owners: it originally flew for American as N713AA. At some point, it ended up in the Capital Cargo International (CCI) fleet where it retained its AAL reg number. Then it went to CargoJet (CJT - Hamilton, Ontario, Canada) and was reregistered as C-FCJV. Last year, CJT unloaded the last of its B727s and now operates 57s and 67s only. That is how this one ended up in the JUS fleet. And one other note of interest. The reg on this one, N726US, was previously assigned to a US Airways A319 back in the first years of this century. And discovering all this background history about this Boeing three-holer has reminded me how old I am. lol (Wave)

I work for the airline. This is an old CargoJet bird from Canada. Will be painted to fleet colors during its next C-check
