Correct tail number is 62-4139... US Military aircraft don't have N registrations - just serial numbers. Great catch!
>>> Mattbna... that "N" in the "registration" box comes from a glitch or quirk in FA's data entry screen for uploaded aircraft photos.
If and when a military aircraft photo is uploaded and just the serial number or tail number is entered, FA automatically adds a "N" prefix. Unless said number is entered correctly, such as with a "dash" appearing in the sequence (which doesn't always apply to US Navy bureau numbers but rather to USAF serial numbers) the "N" appears.
If you had ever uploaded an aircraft photo on FA, you might have noticed this.
By the way, the actual "tail number" for this USAF RC-135V/W Rivet Joint aircraft is 62-139... exactly what shows on the aircraft. What you have provided, 62-4139, is the USAF serial number assigned to this aircraft.
