2 Star vote? If you are not a coward, what is your screen name? Or are you too chicken S**T to give it?

Hmmm... Where to start? First of all, there is no requirement by FA to list your name when you vote. Talk to them if that's not acceptable. Second, and more importantly, what are you whining about? If I decide that this is a less than average photo from/by you how does that hurt you? I've looked at your gallery, and you have thousands of photos, many of them are great. I've voted on MANY of your photos and given MANY of them 4 or 5 stars. So, if I think this one is less than average, why is that a problem. Are you that insecure that you can't take a 2 now and then? And, oh by the way, are you so much of a "coward" that you can't use your actual name as your screen name? You have many pics with over 50 votes. I don't believe most FA users can say that. Again, you have a lot of really great shots posted to FA. You're also in a great location, especially for getting B-52 shots which are very cool. I'm sorry you don't like the vote, but I'll keep looking forward to seeing your pictures.

First of all, thank you for writing me back Greg. The thing I am whining about is getting a low vote on a crisp photo. When I first started on FA, most of my photos deserved a low vote. But I learned things that made my photos better and of course you have to click on "full" to get the crisp quality photo. I have taken photos in the rain that are crap and deserve a low "vote" but when you post a photo that is crisp and the color is perfect and somebody low balls you, it makes you wonder why? And that is why I wrote the post i did. Thank you very much for answering my post Greg. And please don't take the "coward" and "chicken " the wrong way. I wrote it that way hoping for a grown mature person would answer the post. Hoping it would make them kind of angry so they would respond. Thanks again and also thanks for the compliments also. Well, you're welcome, but be advised that you could have gotten me to respond without being quite so...mmmm?...nasty. As to your photo, I'm not sure how other folks do it, but I usually won't vote for a photo that I really don't like. If I vote at all - even a 1 or 2 - I usually feel that there is some redeeming quality to it that makes me take the time to vote. But maybe it could have been a little better. I try to look at the whole picture and decide how good it is, and that includes things like composition, lighting, contrast, and how unique it might be. The technical stuff is important, but even a technically less than perfect photo can still be "good." Often times there can be problems that aren't the photographer's fault. There are conditions over which you have no control. That is probably the case here. Although the pic is crisp the lighting and contrast could be better. For example the sky is pretty dull, and the helos don't stand out that well. It is not a bad pic, and I almost gave it a 3, it just didn't "grab" me. What can I say? I really do enjoy your pics, though so please keep posting them!
