AVIATION TRADERS Carvair (N89FA) - N89FA C-54 Skymaster / Carvair (cn27249)br /Built in 1944 for the USAAF as 44-9023 it was converted shortly after WW2 to a DC-4 operating for US, Mexican, Panamanian, Bolivian operators until the early 1970’s when Aviation Traders of the United Kingdom rebuilt the frame as a ATL.98 Carvair then operated by British United Air Ferries (VF) for cross-channel car ferry services and named “Fat Annie.” In 1979 the aircraft returned to the US under private ownership and stored until 1986. br /The airframe was refurbished and made airworthy in 1998 after 12 years of storage.
