same as C-47 U.S. Air Force. A real work horse. I flew from Soerabaya to Djakarta once as a little boy on a C-47. My Dad was stationed in Indonesia for 22 years. I remember this flight vividly. Later in life I served in the U.S. Air Force and the C-47 was used to deliver Mail to air bases or moved cargo and personnel. It truly is a fantastic Aircraft.
Thank you for this magnificent photo.

I flew in the cockpit of this baby 8 years ago.
I was like a kid in candy store.
Great plane!!!

This A/C is only three years younger than me but it gets around a lot better than I do. Built in 1937. I have flown in a DC-3 and I have flown a C-47, almost the same aircraft.
