N749CF —
The Collings Foundation's McDonnell Douglas F-4D Phantom II 65-0749 had been down for 3 years until today, a bright, sunny day at Houston's Ellington Field. "D-Day" took "Cowboy" and "Gumby" for their 3 bounces to bring them current, and ended it's first flight with 2 minor squawks, which speaks volumes for the CF Phabulous Phantom Phixers! The F-4 now bears the colors of USAF triple ace Colonel Robin Olds' MiG killer, sporting a single kill star on the splitter vane.
