The most beautiful, safest and most comfortable airliner EVER built! I flew on the classic Delta livery version over a dozen times back in the 70's & 80's.

She'll always be my favourite!

Registration is Saudi Arabia.

Flew a TWA 1011 from JFK-LAX late 70's. Sweet. Except at engine start RR engines looked like someone starting a Yamaha. Smoke bombs.

My dad worked at "Lockhead" on the L-1011 program as a instrumentation engineer where he flew 1000s of hours on test flights, typically ship 003. Was his favorite career memory with Lockheed and felt they designed and built a pretty good product. I flew it as a young man between LAX and SAN on dead-head flights late Friday night on TWA and Delta - all for $19 one way. Flew a Delta from LAX to Orlando in the early 80s - was very comfortable and my first continental flight ever.
