Georgie's Gal is from the Liberty Aviation Museum located at the Erie-Ottawa International airport in Port Clinton,OH. We toured the place last summer and I highly recommend it, very nice folks up there!
That bird has a better shine than my truck. Hats off to the folks that take such immaculate care of these wonderful aircraft.
In the day it was keeping them in the air, now it's keeping them intact. This is from a more civilized time in warfare. Now, people can slaughter while sitting in a la-z-boy and sipping a diet coke in air conditioned comfort. Millions can be exterminated with the push of a button. If we went back to swords, I really think there would be a lot less anger and pointless posturing. War has gotten far too easy and profitable. Nations didn't choose to go to war back then as easily as now. Truly tragic...
And hats off to all the men, and women, who flew these and other planes back then. Their dedication to insuring a better future for all is missing in this future.
