Boeing 777-200 (N775AN)

KSJC - Inaugural American Airlines 777-200 service San Jose, CA USA to Tokyo-Narita, (SJC-NRT) Japan on May 1, 1999. I was able to get Aircraft and ramp access for photos and videos of the departure with the help of a co-worker. This jet was less than 1-month old, and a side note I saw this jet at Boeing Everett in April 1999 undergoing flight test and also parked on the hard stand - just by chance when up visiting my Father and other relatives that year. Special thanks to Craig Curtis for the help with Ramp access and jet tour. Once the Pilots were ready to board, the very friendly flight crew directed us to the lobby for the Inaugural festivities - complete with Dragon and drums, and nice young local talent dancing and making the Inaugural send off a great success. I videotaped all of that - one of these days I'll post to my youtube page, along with the take off from the taxiway. Below, media and AA promotion people are getting ready for us to come back on the ramp to let the few local photogs and San Jose News medias for a van ride to the edge of the taxiway for take off.
