So much for an all Boeing fleet...

That happened when they took in the E175s.

the e175 are owned by skywest and contracted by alaska so technically they're not theirs. However horizon which is wholly owned by alaska doesn't have an all boeing fleet, so in that aspect alaska hasn't had one in a long time

Horizon bought E175s for themselves. 30 in 2016 with options for 33 more.

With Alaska's acquisition of Virgin America, it was only a matter of time before the old VA plane's were re-painted. Alaska probably can't afford to give up the 67 aircraft inherited and keep the same routes.

I doubt that Alaska will place any additional orders from Airbus, given their extensive 737 fleet. Then again, they may end up going in the same direction as American which also had an all Boeing fleet until they ordered the A319 & A321.

AAL hasn't been an all boeing fleet. Keep in mind they had A300s in the early 2000s, plus a mix of MD80s, MD90s, and B717s before even bringing in the A319s, A320s, and A320s when they were eaten up by AWE/USA. With those coming in they stopped being an all Boeing fleet, and even with the MD80s, they still weren't technically all Boeing, as they were made by McDonnell-Douglas, despite MD being bought out by Boeing.

They also had the Saab SF34s in their fleet as well, so they definitely weren't all Boeing by a long shot.

coptermechanic..with reference to American airlines and those fokkers..oh yes, i do remember them! we had to meet and greet, adjust the jetbridges, accommodate different seating and the whole nine yards..not to mention the complaints (frequently) by crew about their dislike for the aircraft, and many mechanical issues that ensued..we all were glad when aa decided to no longer use them..i was working when aa had the 727's and the dc 10's (loved both of them),and then we changed over to the md 80's and 737's at my station..American was not using the airbus products at that time..i have flown a few times on an airbus, but I prefer a 737...
