And American with their frequent service with their new 321's. I think it is a good call. We appear to be creeping back to the days it was a pleasure to fly. A lot of folks would far rather fly across the country on a widebody rather than be cramped into a single aisle. The next steps will be food and drink and free WiFi as each of them compete for cross country service.

Maybe, but United was forced to provide free food and drinks in economy on their international flights to keep up with the other airlines starting this month. As soon as another airline puts in a perk to attract traffic on a transcontinental flight, United will have to match it or raise the ante for those are the most lucrative routes. I still remember doing this on a United DC-10 when Air Canada was on strike in the early 70's and it was fantastic rather than doing the single aisle.
My first ride on a commercial wide body was on DAL(767) about 1982 from DFW-IAH. I was in Dallas and rode it down, then on a Fairchild of some kind all the way over to Laredo. Had plenty of room on that first leg but the other was kinda cramped. LOL
