Pilot: I established contact with MAS370
SEPANG: A BOEING 777 pilot, who was flying 30 minutes ahead of the missing Malaysia Airlines aircraft, said he established contact with MH370 minutes after he was asked to do so by Vietnamese air traffic control. The captain, who asked to not be named, said his plane, which was bound for Narita, Japan, was far into Vietnamese airspace when he was asked to relay, using his plane's emergency frequency, to MH370 for the latter to establish its position, as the authorities could not contact the… (www.nst.com.my) 更多...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
I asked whether or not a pilot had been in contact with the missing jet yesterday. My answer is confirmed with this report.
This report suggests that pilot suidide is less likely. Investigators will surely investigate that possibility. But the relationships here suggest that the pilots were well connected with their community.
When pilot of Narita bound jet contacted the MAS jet on the emergency freq - wouldn't the MAS pilot need to be on same emergency freq?
So the plane likely traveled some distance from the point of last radar contact.
Now the question is, where did the plane go?:
1. Did it slowly lose altitude and crash into the sea at a point further away and away from where everyone is searching?
2. Did they land somewhere (whether at the direction of hijackers or not)?
3. Did they crash on land and are covered by the triple canopy jungle endemic in the area?
