Maybe they think that the propellers work like wind turbines. The wind blows. The propeller turns. The turbine spins. Power is generated.....lol :)

Matt, I doubt the propellers drive the engines, I'm pretty sure it's the engines that drive the propellers.

Wolfgaang - I was commenting on how we view them, not about the props/engines. We fly Electra's.

I was commenting on the reporting by the BBC. If they can make mistakes like that, in my view their credibility suffers.
