A 1942 Boeing Stearman biplane crashed onto the runway on take off from Brandon Municipal Airport. Two people, the pilot and a passenger, both pilots with over a thousand hours and former pilot instructors with the WW II Commonwealth Air Training Plan during WW II, were on a Vintage Wings flight, when one blade of the wooden propeller broke, which in turn caused engine vibration which broke the motor mounts.
