look up the specs for the G650.
(Written on 2012年 12月 22日)(Permalink)
I think this will be a blend of the G650 and the G550. G650 is already rated to .95 mach, structure seems to be able to handle the sweep wings. The nose issue is a whole nother ball game. If they can get it out there far enough, the wave will have to travel farther out torwards the winglets. I could get on board with one of these. Great innovation from a Private American Comapany!!!

If it had hit the plane, then there would have been a concurrent (SP) strike through the grounding cable at the nose of the Aircraft.

I don't know about the the list, but his picture(Very Large) should be printed and posted with <<Warning! Don't be an ASS about Security!>>!With a list of the penalties. You get more than enough time in line, and a bunch of posters all around with this guys and others pics, might prevent any other idiots from being dumb. And stupid. And vocal.

I was glad to see that Ret. B Gen.(I did not not about the rank)Yeager was able to "re-create" his flight. The fact that he actually handled the AC was a huge plus+++++! Kudos to him. BUT!, A yahoo post from an anoymous AP writer? Isn't there anything more? I expected a first hand account from some one who was there, as usual on posts, from here on FlightAware. Don't get twisted, I am not downing this, just wish it had been a little bit MORE, and a lot less YAHOO, and AP(no writer). I hope like HEll I can do this some day, not to mention being able to do it @ 89 YO!

I remember getting to see one in Marietta, during the late 80's. At first I could not figure out what all the drip pans were for, but a Lockheed Enginer (friend's father) later told me all about it and gave me a little book with some specs and drawings. I think then was when I fell all out towards airplanes. That bird was simply amazing, just sitting there, surrounded by armed gaurds, it just looked like the supreme go fast machine. It actually had a Presence, like an aura. Thanks to Mr. S, I got to actually grasp how and what everything did that made those such special planes.

preacher1, what mail thing under the discussions tab? BTW you are one of my best regarded posters, and I do think a little automation in future (retrofitted) wingtip cameras would be a good thing. If an Acura can apply the brakes for a shopping cart, wouldn't that also be a good thing for a 100 mil aircraft?
