Yup, three or four years back, underway ops in the Aribian Sea aboard USS George Washington CVN-73. Some tail#s indicate acft delivery in 2016, so not too old, but that lines up with CVW-7 aboard the GW. Great shot!

Good show! Salient features of the 300ER just pop. That wing configuration is a case study in aerodynamics, love it.

Wow, another one out of the park! The "green" setting really did make the Hook pop. I love those birds, they have long been my favorite Frank Piasecki creation. Even before they repeatedly pulled me and my bird out of the muck. Then the SWA 737s on the other side balance the frame so beautifully. Kudos!

Indeed, I am sure folks who live in Iceland get the "feel" of volcanic activity, but I would keep those birds at flight idle for this shot.
Yet another superior contribution Gary! Many Thanks, always enjoy your work.

Diana Rose, that is an optical illusion. Note that these are two near-identical airframes, then observe the apparent relative wing sweep. The photographer is lagging both aircraft enough that a straight line perpendicular to the line of flight starting just in front of the tail of the receiving plane would come very close to the camera. Note also the Star&Bars are at the same location on both planes, so if you observe the trailing edge of the wingtips obscuring the emblem of the receiving aircraft while the tanker wingtip trailing edge appears substantially forward of the emblem on the tanker. Good perspective, it is real.

Naah, she's pretty in her own way. In addition to the lift from the body itself, those slim engines produce significantly more power than the old radials. Ol941 is noticeably more agile in the ait than any stock B377 with 4460s.
