Was that passenger not in the absolute best seat to film that? What are the odds?

Then stop serving fresh fruit in the lounge and plane!

I think comparing a new design (that certainly had some room for stretching in mind when designing) to a 50+ year old design that has been stretched and stretched and stretched again is not entirely fair. Every jet plane has been stretched over the years, so it can be expected. When to say enough is enough is the key decision.

Westjet, Porter and the many charter airlines?

This is likely a defence move after Onex bought Westet. Onex hinted at another big deal. Imagine if they bought Westjet and Transat? From AC's point of view that would become a serious challenge. They are acting in their self interest (we are all expected to act in our self interest) in snapping up Transat which made it clear they were shopping around for a buyer.

Some clarifications: 1: Max Ward (a.k.a. Wardair was busy flying empty Airbuses around when they got bought by Canadian). great service but financially unsustainable. 2: Air Canada was not a crown corporation (and had not been for years) when it purchased Canadian. Recall that Canadian was losing tons of money at the time. The purchase was in self defence after Canadian almost succeeded in buying Air Canada (the loser buying the winner) with Onex backing. That would have been a disaster. I agree that the blending of Rouge and mainline is annoying, but Rouge does fill a niche that was demanded by customers.

Exactly where they said it would go, maintaining the C-Series as they divest out. They've had cash flow issues for a long time. The CRJs have been loosing money for a while and the model is long overdue for a refresh. They just don't have the cash to stay competitive. Sad facts. At least the A220 seems to be finally selling well, so their final contribution to passenger aviation will endure for some time.

Yeah, in the old days, pilots were able to pull out a tool box and fix the plane in flight! Bunch of wimps! Seriously now, what do you expect anyone to do when a system that is not documented to exist, takes control of the plane? It seems on one of them, they followed the published procedure and the procedure failed.

Not everyone can read a safety card from 3 feet away between their knees. No room for the airline magazine and menu (to purchase meals and/or duty free). Nice start, but they seem to ignore some pretty basic requirements.
