If the city Counsel feels so strongly they should close all 28 CFA's in their politically correct city, The only ones "hurt" here are those that love CFA, their products and their fabulous corporate culture.
I do believe that Boeing has lost its way. And I blame it entirely on management. The culture from the top has poisoned the culture from build a better mousetrap to build it as fast as you can for a cheap as you can and we'll fix it in the field. I can think of at least 2 other big projects that are in trouble and they are the, KC-46A PEGASUS and CST-100 STARLINER. Lastly the companies greed in trying to block the Bombardier CS100 is now the A220-100, while the CS300 has been renamed the A220-300 claiming it would hurt their 737 salce, Ha look who is hurting 737 sales.
Back @ 2000 Boeing made a conscious decision that airlines in the future would be more inclined to buy aircraft that were highly economical in point to point routs and less interested in the long standing hub and spoke system. Airbus made the calculated decision the opposite would be true. Time has proved that Boeing's 787 was the right decision. Lastly Boeing's futuristic construction materials and techniques are now the industry's top standard.
