Alaska Airlines restrained 23 year old passenger on a flight from Anchorage
An Alaska airline passenger who made "unusual statements" and attempted to open an emergency door during a flight from Anchorage to Portland Monday morning has been charged with interfering with a flight crew, a federal official said.

A Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental successfully completed its first test flight this week with a package of performance improvements including enhanced GE engines.

I awoke this morning to this terrible news. Indeed even a thousand miles away in the Seychelles I pray for all families, those who have perished, for my family as well back in the USA in the Midwest. Tragic, tragic, so very sad.
Using that thought process, perhaps you are right. There seems to have been an effect that has shown something here, this between the 787 and the "rush" to 777X. My toes still crossed however for her to be a succesful platform for the industry.
