crazy, attempted man slaughter is thin. How about premeditated attempted murder? He needs to be fully punished to the max extent of the law. Bravo Zulu to the flight crew noticing an issue, and the ground crew discovering the problem. Its really terrorism that failed, thank God.
sad day indeed
they are built at Jacksonville Florida international airport
given to the airforce and our beloved government gives them away.....#1 son builds them
When I first heard the story, we were sitting in a campground on vacation, as the story was better informed, I began to ask myself, " maybe this captain felt it was time to retire". Hats off to the co-pilot for his "on Top" performance and cool.
The off duty pilot that assisted is another one inline for a few BZ's. It was nice to hear how the situation was handled. The passengers leaping into action to help "calm" the wayward pilot was interesting, glad it worked out for everyone.
TSA imo is filled with not as many smart people as it should, and with common sense.
When I was about to retire from the Navy, I applied for a job with them, and was told I did not have the experience or skill sets. I had to laugh, I spent 20 years protecting our land, have security details for special "items". Traveling through airports armed, and extensive bad guy training. But i was just not qualified to screen travelers. I firmly beleive if we use our grey matter, we can make traveling safe and secure without undo embarrassment or harassment to the traveling public.
I have a hard time with TSA dumping out my 6 year old grand daughters fresh cut cucumbers from a bag while searching her carry one bag.
