Beginning of the end for what was a great company, I feel bad for the employees who will suffer the consequences of the Chicago "executives" stupidity & greed. I hope Airbus buys them out before it all falls apart and fires the Chicago idiots who caused the downfall.

Since McDonald Douglas executives are in charge of Boeing, don't bet on initiatives for producing new or improved aircraft to meet market needs. They have demonstrated their inabilities in making sound decisions in the past killing McDonald Douglas products and reputation. History is repeating itself and eventually will cause the demise of Boeing. They do not see the need for required skilled workers to perform assembly of aircraft. So what what if the assembly is faulty or tools are left behind as long as they get their bonuses. I used to say "If it ain't Boeing I ain't going", that's changed. I wonder which company aside from Airbus they'll try to take control of to increase their short term goals. Oh wait, there are none. R.I.P Boeing.

I agree Stephen, enough said.

It's humorous and sad to see the negative comments non-pilots make about the 737 MAX, they obviously have no clues except maybe playing with flight simulator games and oh yes, watching and listening to the idiot non-educated reporters.

Everyone needs to hear Greg Fife's of the NTSB (retired) analysis of the Lion Air crash investigation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSbe-Rt4BW4 which include the following: The airplane was not airworthy for days prior to the crash Maintenance was not done properly Flight crew stresses: the captain was sick and the first officer was called in ahead of his regular schedule At takeoff, aircraft control warnings were triggered that are not analyzed for impact on the sequence of events Flight crew did not follow procedures The channel on U-Tube is called: Flight Safety Detectives. You will learn that the captain was doing just fine and no crash would have occurred if the pilots had communicated properly and the first officer knew his memory items. Do yourselves a favor and take the time to listen to the detailed analysis. Have a great New Year.

I'm sure she'll sing "black lives matter" refrain which exempts them from following rules and rules of law, that only applies to the white folks. Oh well, I hope she enjoys lesbianism when she gets to the federal jail.

Further proof the Chicago idiots are in panic mode as their bonuses are facing extinction. Another ex-McDonald Douglas executives (if you can call them that) screw up. The company has no back up plan for new aircraft to compete with Airbus. When Airbus takes over Boeing in the not too distant future, hopefully they will get rid of the McDonald Douglas pestilence in Chicago permanently. 100 years of good engineering lost in WA, what a waste.

What did anyone expect with ex-McDonald-Douglas management running Boeing? All those guys care about are bonuses and when they stop, they'll put the company up for sale after it goes bankrupt from the cash drains.

Hi Philip, just to clarify my DC-10 comment, the people that ran Long Beach's McDonald Douglas now run Boeing. So their attitude of profit before safety was carried through with the Max. Making their non unionized workers in SC work fast causes issues like lost tools in fuel tanks and other issues with the new tankers and the 787's. The consolidation of 787 production in SC reflects their intention to push their workers in faster, cheaper production of aircraft. Bad news for all concerned.
