As Canadians we are privileged to smoke Cuban cigars and rub the ashes in our hated, vile, yet protective neighbours to our south. Remember back in 1986, Boeing bought de Havilland Canada's (DHC) Downsview assembly plants to leverage the company to influence Air Canada (then a Crown Corporation), to purchase more Boeing airliners. When Air Canada went with Airbus instead, Boeing immediately pulled out of Downsview. While at Downsview, Boeing was highly critical of DHC's assembly methods, essentially calling DHC management and personnel "yokels".

I really enjoyed the high-def photos of the airplane, especially given that the word "Airplane: is mentioned twice in the HEADLINE. Wow! Those photos of that 1966 Piper Cherokee are FANTASTIC! Gotta luv that 1966 Piper PA–28-180C Cherokee... It looks gorgeous!

In 1966, Wardair Canada commenced trans-Atlantic service to Europe with a Boeing 727-100. Fuel stops were at Reykjavik and/or Prestwick. De-planning of passengers was not permitted at the fuel-stops. Cantering was first-class, served on china with silverware and linen napkins.
