Customer Service was excellent! However, pay close attention if you have special fueling instructions as they don't know the difference between tips and mains. It's my fault for not supervising the re-fueling.
BAD experience: Good service for years until yesterday! Flew in around 3:10PM but the restaurant just closed. Wanted to grab a quick bite to eat up the street. Went to FBO for gas and courtesy car. Now he wants $20 in RENTAL FEES for the "courtesy" car. Next they'll be charging to park on the ramp to eat..maybe a eating utensil tax..... BTW, I didn't get gas. I will go over to Monroe KTTF for $.25 cheaper, at $4.25gal..at least they are not gouging yet. Guess I expected too much. Flew into Lapeer D95 a few days before. Borrowed mechanic Ben's car for 3.5hrs, no FEES asked! I donated $20 and topped off my tanks at $4.53 gal. I am not cheap nor expect services for free but I am tired of these airport people gouging pilots by inventing all these ramp fees, landing fees, tiedown fees, tower fees, fence fees, and adding $1-2 to every gallon for profit. These are PUBLIC airports. This is general aviation, not Air Force One.
GREAT experience! I flew in for alittle business across town and mechanic Ben helped by letting me use his car. They did not try to gouge me for any FEES like other airports are doing nowadays and actually helped a fellow pilot out with the car. I donated $20 and said thank you. Unlike, Jackson KJXN yesterday who wanted to charge $20 for the courtesy car..oh I mean charge $20 RENTAL FEES for their courtesy car.
Thanks Ben and Ron for keeping a top shelf FBO... clean, helpful, stocked and the coffee was hot! GREAT EXPERIENCE!
GREAT! Flew into area on business. Between KBEH who wanted $70 for a rental car for a few hours, or KSBN's user fees, I flew here. Fueled at $4.85. Cheaper than everyone else and not gouged with pain in the neck user fees.
