Broken down evenly over 24 hours that would be over 37 flights per hour and since there are considerably fewer flights during the midnight shift that means a whole lot of red white and blue tails waiting in line for a runway!

Another approach would be to let them open the restaurants, stage peaceful protests at the locations urging people not to make purchases there and see if that causes them to lose money and have to close down.

I have no issue with people paying for expedited travel. What irks me, and has for quite a few years, is priority TSA checks. TSA is a government operation so how much you paid for your ticket with a private airline should have no bearing on how fast you get through security. First come-first served is the fair way to handle it. I don't see any turnpikes with reserved lanes at toll booths for more expensive vehicles.

Question #1- Why did this woman report that she carried a gun through security? Question #2- TSA says the security lapse was not related to staffing issues from the shutdown. Which means that it was simply a matter of the lapses that their "highly-trained" personnel are capable of every day. This is supposed to be good news? What seems to have been overlooked since TSA came into existence is yes, the government took over the administration and supervision of the security personnel, however, they are still hiring the same minimum wage folks who were doing the job before 9/11.

Let's see...it has pretty much become a holiday tradition that POTUS shows up in a war zone to shmooz with some troops so what is the big deal. Just fly him in unannounced (if these trips are actually necessary-which is a debatable) and that should take care of it. Some guy in England saw AF1 fly over his house...so what!
