@Al: The JSF was never, ever designed by any other country than the US and Lockheed. We never got to selecting one of the proposals (Boeing or Lockheed). Only the US was allowed to. So it shouldn't be called a Joint Strike Fighter, it should be called the American Strike Fighter. @Tom: Me too.

@Terry: Israel & ROC have a lot in common, and should in fact help eachother (they get boycotted anyway)

@Richard Judy: That would mean Arabs would not get onto flights, due to their racial profiling @amahran: No. What if it goes off in the cockpit, shooting both pilots, on say, a 737... (2 people fit in the cockpit usually). Nobody knows what's happening in the cockpit and the flight attendants etc will probably think for a long time that everything's all right with them, until they find out they haven't gone to the lavatory in a long time or if they were supposed to be descending some time ago. That could lead to fuel starvation at some point, turning the plane into a glider without control, which would crash pretty fast, I suppose. (This is a combination of my own thoughts and Helios Airways Flight 522, except the decompression part. Might become a major motion picture some day (probably not))

Wow, so now that the US is nearing their bankruptcy, they now can't allow the Republic of China to get new F16's to revitalize the economy, because of the People's Republic of China nagging? ugh. It would be awesome if they bought the Eurofighter Typhoon, but we're having issues with production here... Sukhoi is also good, but I suppose Russia would be at their production capacity quickly... Correct me if I'm (probably) wrong.

@Wayne: Airbus flight decks are fairly simple compared to the previous competition :')

@panam1971 I'd guess the 7107 :p or the 737-1000 :p @Kenneth: P&W gets rich due to the 100 seater war, as both the launch A320neo and CSeries uses PW's PW1000G and PW1500G engines respectively. CFM will get rich later with the LEAP-X on the neo one year after PW brings the neo the PW1000G..

@chalet: plus, the only reason why the USAF went with the KC-767 was since they had to support the US economy (they called the Airbus proposal crap as its fly-by-wire and it has a flight envelope etc etc etc while the boeing doesn't have that and its better.. the airbus is safer, boeing)
