This study suggests that the overall death rate in the US has not changed but more of those deaths have been classified as due to Covid-19. Deaths from the leading causes in the past such as heart disease, cancer, chronic respiratory diseases and stroke are all down by the amount that Covid deaths are up. Example: the next county to ours had its first Covid death last week. Patient was 90+ years old with a terminal illness and had been in hospice for a while. Normally to get palliative hospice care you have to have a life expectancy of less than 6 months due to the underlying illness In this case it was not Covid. Yet when she died her attending has labeled the death "due to Covid". Make of it what you will. “All of this points to no evidence that COVID-19 created any excess deaths. Total death numbers are not above normal death numbers. We found no evidence to the contrary,” Briand concluded. https://web.archive.org/web/20201126043553/https://www.jhunewsletter.com/article/2020/11/a

In our county with a population of 77,000+ we have had 246 cases, 8 hospitalizations and 1 "death from Covid-19". The death occurred a couple of months ago. We are still on lockdown. Someone who knew the family of the deceased reported that he was a gentleman in his 80's with advanced cancer and was not expected to live out the year. Yet he is listed as a Covid-19 death. And the rest of us must continue to cower at home. "Visiting the crash site today, CBS reporter Elizabeth Palmer said 'virtually all pieces of the plane' had been removed with no security around the site and scavengers now scouring the remaining debris. Bulldozers were seen at the crash site just hours after the plane came down and it is feared that valuable evidence could have been compromised or lost." https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7872337/Iran-accuses-big-lie-missile-claims.html

Not Australia, but I lived in the Phoenix, AZ, are for a number of years. In the mid-90s, just before we moved there, I recall hearing that Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport cancelled flights one day because of the heat. Summer highs of 110+ F are not uncommon and don't affect flight operations. That summer they had a few days in the mid-120s. I think there was only one day when flights were affected and I don't recall it happening again since. One day in the last 25 years.

One can believe that the climate is changing but still decry the alarmists' hysteria as a money and power grab that is not likely to accomplish their stated goal of setting the Earth's thermostat precisely to an unchangeable temperature. And when some AGW proponents misuse graphs and data to support their position it casts their whole argument in doubt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvrsA0XlYGg&feature=youtu.be&fbclid=IwAR2R-VQUY5plt4eUbC6SC0zLSLydgoHar8i2vorTGiLsqWLNsNsQIOdV3x8
