Frontier Airlines will let you pay to keep the middle seat empty on your flight

提交時間:

The middle seat on a plane is already an undesirable spot. Soon passengers on Frontier Airlines flights will be able to pay extra to keep the middle seat of their row empty. The airline is to offer a "More Room" seating option to guarantee the middle seat stays unoccupied during flights. It allows passengers a modicum of social distance from other people in a situation where it's not possible to keep six feet apart. (www.cnn.com) 更多...

I think I read somewhere yesterday they are backing away from this. Seemed like a stunt American would pull too.

An opportune time to reconfigure all the interiors to reflect a more “humane” seating distance, at least in pitch anyway? Time for a change, but middle seat experiences have gone downhill mostly due to passenger attitudes, pax size, seat width, and a casual dress code that airlines refuse to enforce or even possess? It should be an easy task to remind the airlines that without passengers , you literally “litter” the ground with planes!

Paying for health and safety. What a "shock." Airlines should be glad anyone will fly right now.

what about the passenger that wants the middle seat and doesn't want anyone to sit next to them? Will they let you do that and pay for the fee for nobody next to you??

This sounds like the plot to Tom Sawyer. They want you to pay to sit 24 inches away from another passenger as opposed to -2 inches.

what on earth is wrong with this industry. no common sense. all about profit. can't wait for our local restaurants to try and charge us to adhere to the distancing regulations imposed by local government(s). it would be great if these brainiacs would also quit touting their HEPA filters on board, as a filter is not going to help the spread of viruses between people sitting next to each other. What next, start touting how clean the exterior of the airframe is? Useless. Finally, if their ticket agents need plexi between them and customers, why and how is it appropriate to not afford such protections to the customers while on the aircraft. Keep up the good work...A+ (for the airlines and also the cruise industry).

What on earth is wrong with this industry. They seem to operate with little common sense. I can't wait for our local restaurants to try and charge us to separate tables to adhere to the distancing regulations imposed by local government(s). Right, they wouldn't be stupid enough to try it - but the airlines will! it would be great if these brainiacs would also quit touting their HEPA filters as proof that flying is completely fine, as a filter is not going to help the spread of viruses between people sitting next to each other - ineffective for Covid masks or not. Finally, riddle me this, if their ticket agents need plexi between them and customers, why and how is it appropriate to not afford such protections to the customers while on the aircraft. Keep up the good work...A+ (for the airlines and also the cruise industry).

It's sad how far Frontier has fallen.

GOOD GRIEF! I know the airlines need cash and passengers, but this will never "fly" with the public..this will not create good will for frontier airlines, but just the opposite..i wonder what person in their p.r department or marketing thought of this???
