‘All of us are in the exact same spot’: regional airline CEOs on pilot shortage

提交時間:

Regional airlines like Cape Air, CommutAir and SkyWest Airlines are feeling the most acute effects of the USA’s pilot shortage. Struggling to meet the surge in demand for air travel, major US airlines have been “strip mining” captains from regional counterparts, CommutAir chief executive Rock Hoefler told FlightGlobal on 20 September at the annual Regional Airline Association (RAA) leaders conference in Washington, DC. How come these articles never attempt to explain why there is a pilot shortage?

Air traffic today still remains below pre-covid 2019 levels and yet suddenly there is a big pilot shortage? Why?

During the covid shut-downs did a lot of pilots suddenly decide that they didn't want a career in aviation anymore? They wanted to take up writing or painting?

The question is how many pilots were fired for refusing to get the experimental covid "vaccines"?

The question is how many pilots who complied with "vaccine" mandates became heart injured and can no longer be medically certified to fly or worse died after getting jabbed? We know young adult males in their twenties are at greatest risk of myocarditis after getting jabbed.

In Canada in the month of December 2021 in two separate incidents at the same airline two pilots became medically incapacitated in flight with heart issues requiring intervention with onboard defibrillators and emergency diversions.

How often does that happen? In one month at the same airline two separate inflight pilot incapacitations from heart issues?

The inflight incapacitations occurred just a few weeks after "vaccine" mandates came into affect at the airline. The airline (Westjet) refused to confirm if the pilots survived citing "privacy" but if the pilots did survive it is a sure bet that they are no longer able to fly.

Seems asking valid questions is "trolling" here abouts.

If the pilot demand was as high as it was pre-COVID, we should have enough pilots, right? But we don't. Have to wonder why.

But suggesting that it's the current mandate on vaccinations? Heaven forbid! Fire up the anti-troll devices!

I know here in the Phoenix area, many of the flight schools were on life support during The Covid, with a lot less traffic and students clogging up everything, so that (CFI) lag is now being felt at the Regionals. Also, backfilling of the those senior pilots who retired pulled up from the Regionals. I have my ATP + 3 type ratings, but cannot afford to leave my job to start at the bottom of the Regional pay scale, and then have to retire at 65. I am sure there are many other experienced pilots in the same situation.

""The question is how many pilots were fired for refusing to get the experimental covid "vaccines"?""

For United, out of 13,000 pilots, 6 were fired over vaccine mandate.

To be frank, if a pilot can't tell the different in FUD and real-life, I don't want them flying me anyway.
