UK Commuter Plane Used For Autonomous Flight Trials

A jointly funded industry/government initiative in the UK is operating a Jetstream 31 commuter plane in flight trials to demonstrate autonomous flight systems and flight via a remotely based pilot, while also carrying two onboard safety pilots. The twin-engine turboprop aircraft will be flown in trials during the next few weeks from Warton Aerodrome in Lancashire, England. I can't say what I really want to say about the matter but most of you probably share the same the thoughts.

A drone the size and weight of a car flying overhead is one thing, but imagine a 747 sized cargo drone flying over our cities? But right now isn't it impossible for instantaneous communication between ground control unit and receiver?
