Boeing needs to bury the MAX debacle and all its associated baggage. I'll go out on a limb and suggest that, yes, the B797 is a way for Boeing to do that.

797 will be Boeing's future and the best way to redeem themselves after the MAX debacle. The program must go ahead.

I am among those who think the great Boeing company should consider taking its licking on the MAX and move on to the next best product. Boeing has produce so many great products its seems tragic to continue with the MAX.

Unless the economy opens up and with it air travel, Boeing will have to stop work on the NMA. They will simply have no choice, they won't have the money.

Companies had to have forward thinking to stay competitive, the have the MAX which will always carry a bad name regardless of what happens, they need to build a new plane in old Boeing style, quality and state of the art. If not they will not be competitive going forward, they should have done this before the MAX. What was management thinking building the MAX based on a 1960 airframe.

August will come and go, and then another delay on their MAX. Boeing is waiting for a big handout, and I sure hope they will not receive a dime for any bailout which would only go to unions and corporate payrolls. I for one could not care about their future in commercial aircraft. Anyone who looks at this company should have a real long think before putting assets into their hands. You can be sure that politics in this state will favor a Federal bailout because of the tax base Boeing provides the once Emerald City and surrounding areas. They have lost all credibility with me. They were once a great company, along time ago. This current virus has created even more issues for Boeing, but to be frank, the covina virus was replaced long ago with the Detroit virus.
If it's a Boeing, I ain't going!
