In typical fashion, the media is butchering this story with respect to the terms "pilot" and "copilot," grossly misrepresenting what the latter professional really does for a living, and what that term "copilot" really means.
The idea that a copilot is somehow not an actual pilot is absurd -- and insulting to copilots like me. Will journalists EVER get this right? We take off, land, and otherwise fly the plane just as much as captains do.
